A great weekend and a very challenging track. Downhill main straight into very fast first right hander which takes alot of nerve. The following combination are also tricky to master being a mixture of sweeping and tight corners into the top straight and on to the hairpin. You get 1 3/4 laps of this.

Situated on the A153, 10 miles north of Horcastle and 5 miles south of Louth Multimap

Uses 90% of the track starting in front of the pit exit and ending just after the chicane with course exit at the bottom of the mountain. So you still retain many of the challenges of the full course. Can you take Coppice flat as it sweeps up the hill?? How do you approach the Gooseneck as it drops you back down? How fast can you approach the chicane?

Description

Very fast course - flat out down the back straight then brake hard after the brow into Tower corner. Can you take Jim Clark esses flat out?

Curborough

Location

2.5 miles North East of Lichfield. Approached from Lichfield on unclassified road signposted Fradley from A38 Multimap

Length

900/1500 yards short/long course sprint

Description

Curborough is a purpose built venue for sprinting, which has benefited from continuous improvement over the years, and is a regular in the Notts championship as well as a host of others.

The course is relatively tight and twisty and surfaced with good quality tarmac. To the uninitiated spectator the track seems very straightforward, but it actually presents quite a few challenges to the driver aiming to set a competitive time. It's a very good track to learn the art of sprinting at, being relatively safe and not having very fast corners.

The Shenstone and District Car Club have a web site which gives good information about the Curborough course.

Location

South East of York Multimap

Length

1.700 Miles  //  2.736 km

Must be the best dedicated Sprint course in the UK. Single & double lapper events here. Looks simple until you try and go a few tenths faster !! How good are your brakes for the 100mph to 20mph hairpin ??

1475 yards hillclimb

Description

Beautiful setting in a dear park for a very challenging hill. The corners flow into each other with a few double apexes to catch out the Loton virgins. Book early for this popular hill, fast flowing, scary but satisfying hillclimb – will you avoid “lifting” up Cedar Straight ? Will you make the ‘cut’ when the organizers select the entry?

MIRA

Location

1.076 Km Hillclimb
